Steam Issue: Game stuck or failing to load on startup

If you're playing on Steam and the game gets stuck on the initial loading screen, you can usually bypass it instantly with a simple shortcut.

1. While on the frozen loading screen, press F5 on your keyboard.

2. This forces a soft refresh of the game client and will usually load you straight into the game!
